"Jaison...? Daren...? Is that you?"
Ethan edged slowly towards the shattered remains of the thin wooden door that had once led to the back storage and delivery room. Looking through the door, he gave an involuntary gasp at the carnage inside. Boxes torn open, pieces of plastic wrap covering everything, a thin layer of dust that might once have been cardboard boxes covers everything. The refrigerator in the back for employees, an old one made out of metal, stands dented all over with a big hole in the front straight through the door. A black softly pulsing mass, almost fluidlike, kind of like your dear grandmother's turkey gravy, is splatted all over the room, with what looks like a trail leading both to and from the back loading dock. A man stands in the middle of the room, covered in a heavy hazardous material suit, examining the trail out of the room.
"Who are you?" Demanded Ethan, raising the shield in his hands threateningly.
The man jumped and spun around, "My apologies, I didn't know anyone was still alive here."
"Well we are!" yelled Kaley, supporting Karina, "and if we don't get some answers soon..."
"You may put the inhibitor down, it doesn't work on humans," The man said to Ethan, who had begun making threatening gestures with the shield, "and yes, I am human, and I am Lieutenant Colonel McDouglas." Making a sweeping gesture with his hand around the room he added, "and this, is the Drakt."
"The what? This black stuff?" Ethan asked, making a move towards a large splotch of it on the wall.
"Don't touch it!" Yelled the Lieutenant Colonel.
"Wait.... What happens if we touch it?" Questioned Kaley, still holding Karina.
Shaking his head sadly, the Lieutenant turns from looking at the spot Ethan had moved towards, "After a while you die, not in the way most people think, which is that you are simply dead. In a way, you are still alive, you can think, you can feel, you can see, but that is all. The Drakt slowly begins taking over the processes in your body. Some bodies simply become nutrients for the breeders of the Drakt, your body slowly being broken down and passed into the orifice, but others are used as soldiers, augmented by the Drakt inside them, or carriers, looking just like us but invisibly controlled and passing Drakt to others."
"Does... does this happen... one hundred percent of the time that you touch it? How much do you have to touch?" Asked Karina, a little shakily, as Kaley starts slowly shivering.
"Yes, as far as we can tell it does, and it doesn't matter how small.... why do you ask?"
Karina simply points to a large black spot on Kaley's hand.
"Dear goodness help you, lady."
Greetings and Salutations,
Nice to be doing this again, though I cannot promise it will be every week, I'm in a more difficult and time consuming university so I'll do the best I can. I'm thinking no more Saturday posts for a bit, but we'll see how that goes. I might start switching off topics every week, one week another bit of the story, the next a more.... traditional post for me. Well, until next time,

Inverse Light
"Jaison?.... Jaison?...."
"Ugh.... Daren, is that you?"
"Yeah, it's me, Daren.... you okay?"
"Yeah, ugh.... everything hurts."
"Can you move?"
"No, you?"
"Nope.... but we aren't dead.... odd...."
...
"Daren? Are those really, you know,..."
"Yes, Jaison, they are... I don't know why they are here, I don't know why they are following us, I don't know how they escaped, but they are, they did, and they're here."
"....Well, we've taken care of them once before already, remember? and with our greater skills now, surely it should be easier, I mean, we were only ten or eleven back then at that camp...."
"Yes, but back then we had Taine, neither of us knew what we were doing and only he knew what they even were. He brought us together, taught us everything, lead us, and in the end was the one to destroy them."
"But Taine left for New York; remember, Daren?"
"Yeah, I remember, he barely even said goodbye, never gave us an address, I don't even remember his last name....."
"Hey! You got free, Daren!"
"Jaison.... no I didn't."
"....Then you might want to know that I am feeling what seems to be a human hand on mine working on freeing me."
"Shhhhh...."
"Daren, I'm free now, try not to talk too much, I just got shushed by whatever, or whoever, just freed me."
"It must be working on me too, because I feel like I can move a little bit more as well.... I'm free. And now it is leading me to stand up. Quick, Jaison! Grab my hand. It's leading me somewhere!"
"Gotcha, and it feels like out... there is definitely a breeze coming from this direction."
"Shut up already, you two..."
....
"Can we talk now? It's also getting brighter, and I for one am tired of being silent, Daren can understand."
"Yeah, you never shut up, that hasn't changed at all in the nine years I've known you."
"Yes, you can talk, now."
"Then if you don't mind me asking, who are you? I am Jaison and this is Daren, how did you come to be in there? Why did you free us? Where are we going? Are you a friend or foe?"
"I understand your point of view, Daren, now. I went into the orifice to save the two of you so that you could help me in my battle. We are heading back to my camp, and I like to think of myself as a friend."
"Jaison, doesn't the way he speak bring back memories? Who are you?"
"My name, is Kasyn. Kasyn Mauri."
Greetings and Salutations,
Sorry about the lack of posts recently, I've gotten a little sidetracked with other things, including hanging out with my Girlfriend and doing school, so you can bring all of your complaints to them... they won't take them though. So suck it up. Or just keep reading and having fun, that's what I do, except the writing side of it. Well, I'm glad to be back writing, lessee how long it lasts this time.
Until next time, lemme know what you think down there in the comment section, if you like it, ideas for what should happen next, etc.

Synopsis Number 1
Greetings and Salutations,
Today is the first of hopefully many synopses pertaining to the blog. We'll take a look at which video readers thought was the best, which words and sentences were the best, and put up a list of what posts went up. Let's start with the various winners,
The most loved word is Quiescent, used post-humously by our beloved word user 'Tom Bombadil Memorizer'.
The most loved sentence is "The leader only palliated the problem instead of removing it, which caused prolonged tribulation." which was used by my fellow retired TBCRH poster 'The Professor'.
An honorable mention is the word "Shazam" which was voted on by the poster 'Arjo Bruijnes', though because it wasn't one of the words we were voting on it doesn't win. I place it up here as an honorable mention because the theme of the next seven words I will give you will be words that aren't actually considered real words but that we use anyways, like shazam.
So now you know both the winners and the new word theme, but lemme tell you the new theme for videos. The new theme will be nerd centered music that has been released mainly to the YouTube crowd. You can look forward to that starting up next week, as well as the new theme. And before I end this, I will give you a synopsis, like I used to do with TBCRH.
On March 16th, I discussed blogging with regards to courtesy.
On March 23rd, I discussed wikis with regards to courtesy.
On April 13th, I discussed hacking with regards to courtesy.
On May 11th, I discussed nerd caves.
On May 18th, I discussed the entirety of web courtesy and the final law.
On May 25th, I copped out of doing a post by asking you to tell me my new series.
On August 15th, I started my new series with a storyline.
On August 24th, I continued the storyline and added two new members, Ethan and Kaley.
On August 31st, I continued the storyline within the gas station.
Thanks for a great time posting and talking to you all.

Creak.... Creak Creak....
"Then let's start with your names," came the reply from Ethan.
"I am Daren," came the reply from the man who had evidently set himself up as the spokesman of the group, without looking over at the others he continued, "the hurt girl is Karina and the man helping her is Jaison."
"I'd say nice to meet you, but I think that hardly applies in this situation," came Kaley's voice, finishing with, "but my name is Kaley and this is Ethan. I don't care if you mind me asking, so why the swords and shields? Why is she hurt? And what the heck were you running from?"
"Well, as I said before, Kaley, it's a long story, but I'll try and give you the cliff-notes version. Something flew into our car earlier, Kaley shooed it out a little more violently than I would have liked, our car broke down, when I checked under the hood I saw a...."
"Wait!" called Jaison, standing and listening carefully from where he was.
"What is it?" asked both Ethan and Daren.
"Shhhh," came the reply as Jaison stood very still, orienting his head in different ways to optimize his hearing ability and pinpoint what he was looking for. After a moment came his reply, "Can you not hear that?"
creak....
"Please tell me you heard that." asked Jaison as he looked at the others, though still keeping his head directly angled towards the back room.
"I do hear tha.... started Ethan.
creak creak....
"again!" exclaimed Daren as he ran towards the back room. As he ran he unsheathed his sword and gripped his shield tighter.
Creak!!....
"Assistance would be appreciated, Jaison!" yelled Daren as he smashed through the back door that seemed as though it was slowly buckling inwards, the creaks now obviously coming from the buckling wood."
"I'm on it!" replied Jaison, picking up his sword from where he had placed it to help Karina. Handing the shield to Ethan, he said "Hold this, protect the others, don't follow even if we call unless you see us," immediately turning around and dashing through the remnants of the door after Daren, "Watch your five, Daren!"
"What? Hey! What do I do with this?" came Ethan's voice after Jaison, holding the shield confusedly. Looking at the back of it, trying to put it on, he saw a strap to attach it to his arm and a bar to hold it for more force and deflection, but while he put it on he felt his finger brush a lever hidden in the handlebar on the back of the round shield. "What does this do? Why am I wearing this? I haven't felt so ridiculous since I was forced to participate in a duel at the renaissance festival back in high school."
Kaley looked over from where she had taken over helping Karina, "Look out Ethan!" she screamed, as something flew out of the back room.
Out of instinct, Ethan, spinning around and raising his shield, began yelling while he rushed the big black mass that had entered the front room, "Yahhhhh!" As he reached the mass he hit it with the shield, but all it did was embed the shield slightly in the writhing mass, and further instincts told him to click the lever he had felt, which made the shield vibrate slightly, at which point the entire mass moved with incredible speed back into its former room.
"What did y.... never mind, just keep doing it," came Kaley's voice from behind Ethan as he stayed where he was, facing the back door.
"If I can, I will," he replied.
"Why is it silent?"
The weak voice of Karina surprised them both, but not quite as much as they dead silence from the next room, the sounds of Daren and Jaison no longer reaching them, "careful, Ethan."
Slow footfalls echoed from the back room, to which Ethan addressed, "Jaison...? Daren...? Is that you?"
Greetings and Salutations,
I anticipate seeing what y'all will do about the Saturday posts, what videos and word usages you will pick before Saturday so I can actually include them in the post. Perhaps a suggestion for what to do next, though I already kind of have a good idea, maybe.
Until next time, lemme know what you think down there in the comment section, if you like it, ideas for what should happen next, etc.

Music Videos.... Unrated...
Greetings and Salutations,
And now we come to the part you've all been waiting for!
Except here's a problem, there is no part you've been waiting for, you were supposed to let me know what video you liked the best, but you didn't. Nobody did. Nobody rated any of them, nobody said what word they liked the most, nobody said what usage they liked the best, nothing. So the question stands, which do you like the best? If you don't like this then don't worry, if I don't hear any responses from people then Saturday posts as we know it will go kaput. If you like something, lemme know about that and perhaps your favorite video may win.
Since I'm a marginally good person I won't just leave you with the conundrum above and say goodbye, instead I'll leave you with a fairly cool video (that will not be included in the voting) and leave off the word choices until next week when I finally get all of your decisions, right?
So here's the video, it's by Tessa, also known as Meekakitty, who has become a very popular vlogger and singer on youtube, working closely with the bands "hey hi hello" and "Ministry of Magic." This is one of her songs with help from her friends Jason and Alex, called The Bacon Song.
Please don't forget to rate everything and have a great week,

Gas Stations Are Better Than Malls
A tall blond haired man stood just inside a Gas Station, signing off of his register and moving towards the door calling over his shoulder, "I'm gonna take a minute outside, Kaley, you have the store."
"Killing yourself some more? Whatever, do what you want, I won't have to deal with the lung cancer later, have fun out there Ethan," came the reply from the backroom, a beautiful young woman walking to take the recently vacated space by the register.
Chuckling to himself, Ethan opened the door and stepped out, enjoying the nice cool breeze and open air feeling not present in the concrete walled, windowless gas station behind him. Lighting his cigarette he slipped the lighter back into his pocket and waved farewell to the grocers and baggers leaving the grocery store across the street. Enjoying the last bit of his cigarette he felt the wind begin to pick up from up the road a bit, perhaps a storm setting in soon. As he placed his cigarette butt in the receptacle beside the door he heard what sounded like a scream from just up the road. Turning quickly around he gazed up the road and saw three people, a girl being assisted quickly by two boys as they ran as fast as they could towards the light of the shopping center behind Ethan. Taking a step forward both out of curiosity and a curious feeling of urgent need to assist them, Ethan opened his mouth to call to them, but the words never made it out of his mouth as he saw the dense cloud swiftly following them. Gasping in both awe and fear, a string of obscenities tumbled from his mouth, barely audible yet enough to catch the attention of all three people.
"Help us for goodness sake!" cried the girl right before she lost her footing in her running and twisted her ankle again, crying out in pain.
Hearing the hurt in her voice brought Ethan's mind back to the moment, where he quickly opened the door and yelled, "Kaley, be ready to duct tape the doors and barricade them in a moment."
"Why the heck should I do that, Ethan?" came Kaley's response, though moments too late as he had just ran to help the others with the hurt girl. "You better not be pulling something on me, it wouldn't be the first time," Came her resigned response to the empty room as she headed to the household tools section to grab some duct tape. As Kaley walked back to the front of the station she saw Ethan and two other men who inexplicably were holding swords hurriedly helping a stumbling girl into the station. Catching the emergency of the situation, Kaley joined Ethan in pulling a shelf unit towards the door as one man duct taped the cracks and the other eased the hurt girl to the floor. As she pushed the shelf all the way across the door she panted to Ethan, "I better be getting a good reasoning for this real soon."
"Same here," came his reply, and as the words came out of his mouth a great buzzing sound filled the building, at which point everyone fell to the ground and covered their ears, the sound becoming louder and growing in intensity by the moment. Suddenly, almost as quickly as it started, the noise stopped, silence quickly filling the room. Everyone nervously glanced around the room, their eyes searching shadows and ceilings for something to happen, though slowly they calmed down to their new situation.
"What the heck was that?!" came Kaley, standing up and confronting Ethan, "I need to know and I need to know now!"
"I wish I could tell you, but I know no more than you," at which point Ethan turned and gazed at the newcomers, still attempting to recover from the running and shock of it all, "What was that, tell us everything, you owe it to us."
"Well," replied one of the men, still catching his breath, "it's a long story..."
Greetings and Salutations,
And that's all for this week, I hopefully will be able to continue this as a weekly loop, and so far with my college and my preparing ahead for it I've been fine, but we'll see, until next time then, tell me how you like it so far and ideas for what should happen to them, etc.

As the Music Fades...
Greetings and Salutations,
I promised you a special video, "Next week I will give you the last song, which will have a special touch to it" forever ago and thought that as my Saturday post I'd actually do what I said I would. Gasp! Incredible! Anyways, Today I give you the final song video (so let me know in a comment down in the under-blog about which video/word you think is/was the best), so I am now accepting suggestions for either a different subject for the videos, or perhaps you would like me to continue doing music "videos." I do have quite a large retinue of good songs to give, but am also prepared for the other. So today's video comes from a fellow named Jonathan Davis, who occasionally gets around to writing music for the video games he develops. This is one of his first songs, named: "Anger Suite" for the in development game Renegades of Flame due to come out sometime within the next few years. Unfortunately, the music quality is not too high, the programs he works with are not the best for this style, and he's too poor to get the appropriate funding for that. So without further ado, here we go!
Well, nobody posted a word usage this week, so now what? do I continue with the original word until someone posts one following it? or do I give you a really easy one since maybe that was too hard for you, or, I know! I'll give you a ridiculously hard one to work with!
