A Deviation From Our Current Trajectory

Greetings and Salutatory Statements to one and all,

As my little wordy hint above in blue can show you, I will be changing my plans slightly. Looking back and pondering on the topics for today and next Wednesday post, I have noticed some discrepancies. After racking my brain in search of some way to make general failing relevant, which for the most part it isn't, I have come to the conclusion that only one rule can be drawn from it, and it in itself is very much a special case. In addition, looking at the case of the picture post which would have been today, I have come to the conclusion that a rule can be derived from it, but it would be too similar to rule 8 as it would say that if it scars someone then it should not be online, or if it is racist, etc. ~if it hurts anything, physically, emotionally, psychologically, socially, and spiritually... and any other thing that ends in -ly that sounds right for this, then it should not be done~. So basically there would be no positive necessity to posting these next few days. And then it occurred to me that you still deserved a post, especially after the lack of posts these past few weeks, but believe me, rule numero uno of writing anything is to not write about something that you are disinterested in, and I must apologize that for the past two Wednesday posts my interest has been waning. This is something important, and a list of good rules should exist online, but after however many posts, there should be a point where either someone else steps in to take up the mantle or it is put on hold for a while, and I confess that I am unable to come up with any new rules as of now. Thus, to spare you the misery of reading terrible writing I am stopping this line of posts immediately....

And starting another! Until I can come up with a theme, of course please feel free to email me any suggestions, but today I write about having your own domain, a nerd cave of sorts. Anyways, many times people will make a sort of "shrine" to their favorite topic or occupation. It becomes a matter of pride to the people, even if it is just having better items than others. Let me give you some examples of some shrines, in visual aid form:

VGC Collection

For if you are unable to tell from the smallish pictures, from top left to bottom right you have the video game nerds dream: The largest known collection of video games ever, a beautifully handmade steampunk computer desk, a man cave complete with display cases full of collectible sports cards, and a hand modified Nintendo Entertainment System. Almost everybody has some collection or favorite item that they are proud of and more than happy to show off or perhaps even be miserly and hide it away. I myself have a rather large collection of games and consoles, as well as musical instruments, and not surprisingly that is what I do. Many times the people who collect baseball cards are the people who used to play or still play a lot of baseball, almost all the time the people who get the collections of video games play them regularly, people who love Firefly put little browncoats stickers on the backs of their cars and carry little plastic dinosaurs around, and people who have musical paraphernalia play music. The majority of the time this is reversible as well, for example I play music so I collect instruments, she likes to read so she has a large library she likes to show off, etc.

Write and tell me what kind of things you like and how you like to collect or get the best etc. for what you might enjoy, though it might not apply to some of you. You can even send in pictures and I'll feature them in a post. Don't forget about the word of the mont.....I guess it's supposed to be week isn't it, whoops. And with that, I close. Thanks as usual for listening or not, comment if you desire, or not. Next week I will give you the compiled rules and tell you about the one rule from general failing. If you have any questions, please feel free to comment or email us at our new address. If you want to make accusations or have any general complaints or see any errors, whether small grammatical errors or large continuity ones, please feel free to let me know.

(By the way check out TBCRH, someone just posted on it again, enjoy reading over there!)

Fairwells and Valedictions,
Eoin Anndra Davis
